Deflex (PC version)

Well, it's probably a bit cheeky of me to release the PC version
of Deflex - after all, this version is really only the PocketPC version running
in a window, and is really only intended as a convenience for test purposes
whilst developing the PocketPC version.
However, several people have asked me if I would release the
PC version since they don't have a PocketPC, and being as the game is perfectly
playable on the PC, I thought what the hell, and so here it is.
There are of course some differences in the controls from the
PocketPC version. "Left bat" and "right bat" are now mapped
to the left and right mouse buttons. The Quit key is the "End" key
on the keyboard. The control setup menu item doesn't have any effect in the
PC version. And obviously, any references to "tap screen" just mean
"click the mouse in the window" ;-).
Moving the mouse outside of the Deflex window, or minimizing
the window, will pause a game in progress. You can resize the window to whatever
size you like. It defaults to 480x640.
And should you actually think that it's worth a fiver, you
can get the full version via SWREG from here:
Why not buy both games at once for a tenner?
It's one convenient download for you, and it saves me a
quid in SWREG commission!
As ever, you should download and test the demo on your machine
to make sure it behaves itself before paying any money for the full version.
I've tried it on Windows XP, Windows 98 and Windows 2000 and it seems to work
OK on those machines, but YMMV. Be safe and try the demo version first :-).
